Sandra Hendrick Staley was born in Ft Knox, Kentucky, to Robert Ellis Hendrick and Helen Bartholomew. She lives in Midand, Texas and has four children Catherine Elizabeth Staley Hyde; Paul G. Staley; Mark Ellis Staley and Jennifer Elaine Staley Kostohoryz.

Sandra has a BS from McMurry University in History and Speech with a minor in Religion. She was a history and debate teacher at Midland Public Schools for three years.
