Edward Charles Horton was born in Passaic, New Jersey, to Alford Laurance Horton and Jean Patricia Ruehl. He is married to the former Joyce Rudolph and together they have four children Trevor Edward Horton, Meredith Blair Horton, MD, Devon Elizabeth Horton, and Connor Alec Horton. 

Ed holds B.A. degrees in Accounting and Economics from Rutgers University where he graduated magna cum laude. His career began as a Certified Public Accountant. He is partner in the Accounting and Advisory firm of Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP and former managing partner of the New Jersey office and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Ed was the Founder and Managing Partner of Horton & Company, LLC and was the Former Chairman of the Board of Xicom, Inc.
