Patricia ‘Pat” Gallagher was born in Bogart, Georgia. Her mother Lois Nunnally Gallagher was also born in Bogart and her father Martin R. Gallagher was born in Boston, Massachusetts. They met at a USO dance in Charleston, SC during WWII ~ one dance and the rest was history.
Pat attended school in Georgia until the 10th grade then moved to Jacksonville FL where she finished high school. She attended college in Jacksonville where she studied speech, drama, history and world geography.
Pat enjoyed a lifelong career of over 50 years, as a lead flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. She was originally based in New Orleans and then Atlanta. She had the opportunity to travel the world and see many wonderful places but still contends that there's no place like home. Being a world traveler gave her the opportunity to appreciate her own American heritage. Her genealogy interest started at age 12, when she interviewed her uncle, who had been at Pearl Harbor.

Interests
Mrs. Gray is the recipient of the Sons of the American Revolution Martha Washington Medal.
Sue’s favorite pastime is researching her ancestors. She first became interested when in 1979, her paternal grandmother gave her a copy of an old handwritten document listing the children of her fourth great-grandfather Stephen Young, written in 1875. As the first in her family to do any significant research, she has been successful in documenting her lineage to six gateway ancestors: Joseph Bolles, Percival Lowell, Anne (Derehaugh) Stratton, John Stratton, Elizabeth (Stratton) Thorndike, Richard More, and has 12 Mayflower passengers. She also enjoys researching for others and working with DNA results. She manages over 25 DNA kits for family and friends. Using mitochondrial DNA testing, she documented her matrilineal line to Catherine Lejeune, the Ancestral Matriarch of the Acadian Savoie family, born in France and marrying c 1651 in Acadia. This line also includes ancestors of Mi’kmaq descent.

Gail Ann Thomas was born in Newburyport, MA to Walter I. and Barbara S. (Tripp) Thomas. Her mother began researching her father’s family in 1960. Barbara first found that she was eligible to join the NSDAR through her maternal grandfather, Charles Jones. This was the beginning of Barbara’s and Gail’s lifelong pursuit of family genealogy. Gail continues to research her lines that go back to the First King of Norway, a Viking in 864 CE. She uses her vast research book collection to help others find their roots.
Gail attended Newburyport High School and Northeast Community College. She started volunteering at a young age at the Peabody Museum (now the Peabody-Essex Museum) in Salem, MA where her grandfather worked. This started her interest in museums. She continued this interest as she moved across the country. In Southern California, she volunteered at the Workman-Temple Homestead Museum, City of Industry, California. The “La Casa Nueva”, is a 1922 Spanish Colonial Revival Mansion. She was able to attend guest lectures in museum techniques which included curating, preservation, restoration from staff members at University of San Francisco. She moved to Northern California to the Shadelands Ranch Museum in Walnut Creek, just south of Oakland. The Original Nut and Fruit farmhouse was completed in 1903. With many of the family items and furnishings left behind by the family, the house is continued to be shown as it was in 1919.
Gail worked as an Accounting Clerk for the Internal Revenue Service in N. Andover, MA, an Import/Export International Shipper for the Olmstead Industries, Seabrook, NH, a Bank Teller for the Citizens Bank and the Granite State Credit Union. Later in life, she volunteered at a Senior Center teaching arts and crafts. Gail is an avid quilter. While the National Vice Chairman of the NSDAR Veterans Services Committee, she and several of her fellow NH DAR members knitted over 100 Afghans for the Veterans Home in Tilton.
Today, Gail spends her time serving in the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company as the Quartermaster. The AHAC members travel all over the world and Gail is loving every moment.
