Charles E. F. Drake, M.D.

Charles Edward Francis Drake, a native of Atlanta,
Georgia,
is the son of Dr. Charles Hinton Drake and Estelle Carolyn
Nail. Dr. Drake is married to
Rita
Jayne Elizabeth Chabot,
with whom he has one daughter, Vivienne Rita Caroline
Marissa Drake.
Dr. Drake was graduated summa cum laude from
Georgia Southern University
with a B.S. in Physics. He received his M.D. from
the
Medical College of Georgia,
and completed advanced graduate work in Internal
Medicine and Cardiology at the
University of Louisville.
Dr. Drake
is a practicing
interventional cardiologist. His career includes
extensive medical staff leadership, serving variously as
chairman of Internal Medicine, Cardiology, President of
the Medical Staff, and Medical Director of cardiac
rehabilitation, non‑invasive cardiology, and the cardiac
catheterization laboratory. Dr. Drake is board
certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear
Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow
of the American College of Physicians, the American
College of Cardiology, and the Society for Cardiac
Angiography and Interventions.

The arms were granted with an extended remainder to the
descendants of Dr. Drake’s thrice great-grandfather. The
bordure counter-compony argent and purpure represents
his grandfather as the eighth son, the seventh having
issue, of his great-grandfather, who was himself a sixth
son and is represented by the oak leaves charging the
bordure.

Dr. Drake is a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky
Colonels. He is Baron Baillie of Tranent, Haddington,
Scotland, and Lord of the Manor of Noseley,
Leicestershire.
He is an avid genealogist and heraldist, and his
memberships include the Heraldry Society of Scotland,
the American Heraldry Society, the National Genealogical
Society, the New England Historic Genealogical Society,
the Virginia Genealogical Society, the Society of
Genealogists, and the Manorial Society of Great Britain. He is
Vice President
of the Augustan Society and is a recipient of the Order
